Major Achievements:

 

Fast unto death agitation during the year 1995 for the revival and rehabilitation of BGML and its employees for four days and was arrested under Sec 309 IPC.

Arranged KSRTC Bus facility to Chigarikunta Project workers of BGML from KGF.

Arranged KSRTC Bus facility to Chennai, Vellore, Gudyatham, Ernakalum in kerala, and to various religious places likie Velangini, Nagapatanam, Nagoor, Thiruthani, Tirupathi, Murdeshwara, etc.,

Organized meeting with Hon’ble Sri.I.K.Gujral, Prime minister of India, and along with Mp’s from Karntaka and leaders from KGF and got approval from the prime minster to maintain status-quo on BGML closure. A major relief for the BGML workers.

Met Sri.H.D.Devegowda Prime minster of India and got a direction to the Union Minster of mines to order for revival and rehabilitaion of BGML during 1996.

Demanded the Beml Management to give employment and training to the displaced BGML labourers and childrens.

Conducted an agitation to regularize the casual contract labourers of BGML.

Arranged free distribution of Rice (Sona Masoori) and Note Books to 5000 people of KGF during the closure of mines in the year 2001.

Conducted a padayatra throughout KGF Constituency to study the civic problems of KGF for 4 days.

Conducted relay hunger strike for seven days and called for KGF Bundh for early settlement of BGML Workers problems.

Underwent judicial custody for 3days denying to obtain bail in the interest of attracting attention of the Government of India on the issues of KGF.

Met the Chief Ministers of Government of Karnataka since 1989 demanding to declare KGF as the tax free industrial growth centre.
 
 

Charities:

 

Arranged free distribution of Rice (Sona Masoori) and Note Books to 5000 people of KGF during the closure of mines in the year 2001.

Distribution of Sarees to poor women and widows.

Distribution of utensils to domestic workers.

Distribution of football, volley ball, cricket kits, to students and youths to encourage sport activities.

Donations given to almost all the Temples, Churches, Durgas for the religious movements.

Helped sick patients to get funds from Chief Ministers relief fund.

7. In General pensions were arranged for the widows, old age and handicapped to around 2000 people, and arranged bank loans under self employment schemes.
